I've gone back and forth about starting a blog devoted mainly to our adoption journey and life after finalization. This has been stewing in my brain and heart for a few years now. The name came to me after a weird day at work, which happens frequently since I teach 6th graders. The commute home is "normally" his nap time but that day he wasn't having it. We ended up stopping at the rest stop that is between home and school which I hope I never have to do again. On the rest of the way home the song, "This is The Stuff" by Francesca Battistelli (I refer to this song as my theme song long before becoming a mom) came on and Sammy gave me this look through the little baby mirror. Bless the crazy mess just kinda came out of my mouth...yup...that totally explains our little family and our life and the adoption process and me in general.
I haven't exactly decided where this adventure will lead or what all I'll write about. I guess that's the nice thing about the internet and blogs...you don't really have to know. I will guarantee you will "see" the raw side of adoption (the good...the bad...the ugly crying) and life with our little one. Sammy is very photogenic! I don't mean to offend anyone in general and I'm often sarcastic which doesn't always translate well in print (I need a sarcasm sign like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory). I speak my mind (or type my mind) and sometimes forget about my filter (good thing I can edit). I am a Jesus loving, creative-minded, midwesterner, 30-something who is the proud wife of a movie-loving hubby and momma to the cutest adopted baby boy and two fur babies. Education in all realms of my life is my passion.
